Patrisse Cullors is an artist, organizer, and freedom fighter from Los Angeles, CA. Co-founder of Black Lives Matter and founder of Dignity and Power Now, she is a performance artist, popular public speaker, and a New York Times bestselling author.

She is also one of the nation’s leading advocates against the expansion of prisons, though her Los Angeles based coalition work with JusticeLA and Reform L.A. Jails. Her work fighting Los Angeles County’s $3.5 billion jail plan with JusticeLA is highlighted in the new blackpills docu-series RESIST.  As a celebrated contemporary performance artist, Patrisse is the recipient of countless awards, honors and prizes that honor her and her work.
